Nocturnal mobility in Torino: from Free Bus to Night Buster
Vote the video on Current.com
Traffic Kills Community is enthusiast to communicate that the Free Bus project has encouraged local authorities to activate in very little time a long awaited nighttime public transport. D. Gomba’s video “Bus notturni a Torino//Night Buster”, now online on Current Tv, tells how through public demand start-up projects like the Free Bus have finally led to the first experiment in nocturnal public transport. The first step has been taken, showing how much the Community can weigh on the authorities’ political agenda by collecting the public’s requests and transforming them into facts.
In the two summer months of July and August the Night Buster, a public transport service with 10 bus routes promoted by the city of Torino, will be active during weekends.
Traffic Kills hopes that the Night Buster will not remain a meteor of the Torino World Design Capital 2008 summer, and will make efforts in monitorning constantly the good functioning and the progression of this service.
