A POLITE DISPLAY OF POWER IN LONDON ON 6th DECEMBER
The 6th of December will be the day of International Demonstrations on Climate Change.
In London the march this year goes to Parliament Square to demand that the government act now on climate. The march will now start at Grosvenor Square (5 mins from Speakers Corner, Hyde Park - Bond Street or Marble Arch tube. Apologies for any confusion over starting point see more here) - assemble 12 noon. Full schedule here.
Speakers will include Nick Clegg (leader Liberal Democrat Party), Caroline Lucas (leader, Green party), Michael Meacher (ex-Environment Minister) and George Monbiot (Honorary President, Campaign against Climate Change).The march will be preceeded by a climate protest bike ride starting from Lincoln’s Inn Fields at 10.30 am: see more here.
At 6 pm the Traffic Kills Meetup group in London invites all of you to join the first Traffic Kills event in London called “A Polite Display of Power” which takes place on the 6th of December 2008.
This event is currently being organized by the London Meetup group, it has already been implemented in Turin (Italy) and Santa Monica (USA).
The meeting point is in front of St. Paul’s underground station at the entrance gate on the Cheapside at approximately 6 pm. BE THERE OR BE SQUARE!
