Free Bus by TK Turin Meetup

A free shuttle service for clubbers during weekend nights, for having fun together without car pollution or risking on the road during your night out.

What does Free Bus mean?

Have fun – Be safe – Do not pollute – Be free from driving
The Free Bus project provides free means of transport during weekend nights. The project’s main goal is to allow people to go out without relying on their cars and to prevent them from drinking and driving.
The Free Bus project is a great example of civic care. Main sponsors of the event were brands and clubs, who offered everyone a safe ride home.

The “Polite display of power” event was capable of achieving a wide press exposure, underlining the problems facing urban mobility. After a few months, the Traffic Kills Torino Meetup launched the Free Bus initiative by organizing a free shuttle service during weekend nights. There was no such service in Torino at the time. The initiative was an excellent example of civic care: thanks to all the feedback, in July of the same year the City Council of Torino finally launched its own public night transportation service during weekend nights. We definitely triggered something, and the results are still here to prove it!
